Question: Where can I find information about Home Schooling my children in the UK?
My husband and I are considering Homeschooling our daughters, partly because we spend almost half the year away from home and our families don't live close. I know our situation might chance in a couple years once they start school but I would like to look into all my options for them before they start school. I'm not looking at starting a debate over Home Schooling and public schooling. I'm just looking into all of our options. I'm just wanting to look into information over the national curriculum and what they teach - I never went to school in the UK as I grew up in France - and how I can get a hold of books and materials.
Answer: this charity http://www.education-otherwise.org/ should be able to tell you what you need to know. As I understand it they have local groups where parents etc get together to buy materials and share resources so you shouldn't be on your own. Good Luck!

Question: Question about the Abeka Homeschooling Curriculum in Tenth Grade History?
I'm using the Abeka Homeschooling Curriculum for tenth grade. In history (World History and Cultures) my mom and I noticed that there isn't a geography activity book this year, but there are map projects that are optional. On the progress reports it doesn't list this as optional. I was wondering if the grade for the map projects is actually required for a credit?
Sorry if my question doesn't seem clear.
Answer: Call Abeka in the morning. Although many people may use the same curriculum that you have not many are likely to know the exact answer to this question and I'd hate for someone to come tell you one way or another and possibly mess up your whole grade for that course.
