This is a reply to anyone who has any ignorant comments about southern hicks. The south in general, southern hicks and all have some of the best universities in the US ex: LSU, USM, MSU, OLE MISS. Of course i don't know what the schools want me to teach her because i have never home schooled before. But if us hicks are so stupid what makes you think the public schools are going to be any different because they are southern to. We live in the Bible Belt, I'll pray for you......
Answer: I live in Oregon, and homeschooled my two older daughters for several years. They both attend public school now, and the teachers say things like, "Your child actually asks questions and participates in class! " I will be schooling my young daughter and son next year, a 2nd grader and a preschooler. Preschool is all about developing fine motor control and learning through play. Tracing lines, cutting out simple shapes, play-doh, legos, going to the library, observing nature and the workings of the real world (example, a visit to a fire station or bakery). I don't use a pre-made curriculum at any grade, but I find purchasing math books very helpful (from about age 5). Helping with household chores, cooking, and gardening teach so much at any age. Lower the pressure on yourself and enjoy her. Let her pursue her interests. My oldest hated English but loved Science, so I stopped having her do English lessons and keep instead a detailed Science notebook. She would happily (in 2nd grade) write 6 plus notebook pages, as long as it was not called English. Now in high school, she is in advanced english, and scores in the 96th percentile on the official tests. If you are loving, patient, and willing to have fun it will be very hard to do it "wrong".

Question: How much would you charge to do the drawings in a coloring book?
The coloring book would be part of a monthly preschool Homeschool Curriculum. The drawings would be simple so that a 3 or 4 year old could do them. We're looking at 20 pages a month.
We would probably post this on guru or elance, but right now we're just trying to get a range of what people would charge, we're not soliciting bids.
Answer: I would say $200-400 per book.
