Question: Online Homeschooling for High School? PLEASE READ!?
Okay so my parents are divorced and we just have a CRAZY schedule ALL the time. I wanted to know the pros and cons of online Homeschooling. I take mostly advanced classes and am social. I just don't like all the "drama" that goes on with school and think I would be better off just teaching myself with an online program. If I did homeschool I would make sure to be ibn plenty of clubs so that I would still have contact with people my age. Is this a good idea? What do you think about it? Anything else?
Answer: Homeschooling is great - I am one myself and I'm in 10th grade. The Internet is important to my schooling because there's just so much information that you can find. There are sites you can learn chemistry, physics, biology, or any kind of science you'd really want.
There may be a few courses you might have to order from somewhere, but can be used on the computer. I've got a year-long biology CD that I use.
You don't have to worry about becoming a total anti-social freak when you're a homeschooler - that's one of the many stereotypes that are false. Just because you're homeschooled doesn't mean you never get to see anyone. Go ahead and join the clubs, they're fun. I'm just saying homeschoolers aren't all anti-social.
Go ahead, I say! And good luck.
