Answer: If you have any colleges in mind, check their websites for admission requirements for homeschoolers. The requirements vary but typically involve ACT/SAT scores and either SAT II scores, a portfolio of some of your school work or placement tests.

Welcome to the Home Schooling and How to Homeschool Website!

Home School is becoming more and more popular among American parents nowadays. There are many reasons why parents would choose to homeschool their children such as a loss of faith in the public school system, belief that they can do a better job educating their children, safety issue, and cost issue. Choosing to homeschool your children is not easy. It requires a tremendous commitment and perseverance on the parents' part to make Home Schooling successful. Although each family will have different reasons for Home Schooling their children, the successful homeschool families all share a passion in educating their children and they feel that they do a better job than anyone else.

This website discusses the many aspects of Homeschooling, such as tips, strategies, and the legality of Homeschooling. Each state has its own Homeschooling Laws. We will tell you how you can find the information you need to start Home Schooling your children. Your state will also dictate who can be your children's Homeschool Teachers, and what qualifications and certifications you or anyone you ask to teach your children will need to have. Again, the requirements are all state specific.

What home school curriculum is best for your child is also an important question. Use the navigation menu to the left to read about home school curriculum, including how to choose the best home school curriculum, finding the suitable Homeschool Teachers, what Home Schooling hours are best, how to grade your child's performance, and how to give High School Credits.

We also discuss the differences between Home Schooling children and sending children to private schools. Many parents are concerned if they are doing the right thing by Home Schooling their children. We discuss Homeschooling VS private school before we move on to discuss potential problems that could exist with Home Schooling. Among these potential problems is the social concerns for children who are Home Schooling.
