Homeschool Science Curriculum 7th Grade

Question: Is a Physical science course really necessary?
Just started Homeschooling my dd in 8th grade in Tx where kids are taught Life Science in 7th grade and Earth Science in 8th grade. Apparently in homeschool community AND in most states, physical science is taught in 8th grade; therefore, I have not been able to locate high school level affordable secular physical science curriculum. I've found 1 from Oak Meadow (8th). I want to make sure my dd is receiving HS level education next yr, but I'm not having any luck so I'm now wondering if it's even necessary for a physical science course. If so then why so hard to find? Can we skip it and go on to Biology or Environmental Science instead? Will she need to take Physics to make up for it? Or would taking an 8th gr physical science course for 9th grade be OK - if so, should I still give her "credit" for it (put it on her transcript/portfolio) as if it were indeed a high school level course? Or better yet, does anyone know of a curriculum that fits my needs? Help!
Answer: I'm homeschooled and I wasn't taught Physical science. I think it is acceptable to skip to biology, since most colleges don't care if a child has taken physical science. From my understanding, Physical science is an easier version on biology.
