Question: Proverbs, anyone?
My son and I are working on poetry in our homeschool language arts class and I am looking for proverbs for us to analyze. We have done several including, "You can't have your cake and eat it, too." and "don't buy a pig in a poke." I will give the 10 points to whomever gives me the best proverbs to use.
Answer: If you're looking for a source of Proverbs, check out Aesop's Fables (http://www.aesopfables.com). There are some 650+ fables available there, almost ALL of which have a proverb or moral behind them.
If you're just looking for a couple of interesting adages, here are a few...
1- The early bird gets the worm
2- Good things come to those who wait
3- Revenge is a dish best served cold
4- Making a mountain of a molehill
5- Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow
6- Caught between a rock and a hardplace
7- Out of the frying pan and into the fire
8- In for a penny, in for a pound
9- Don't count your chickens before they hatch
10- Never put all your eggs in one basket
Hope this was helpful.

Question: Pagan Homeschooling resources?
I'm looking for resources, online and off, relating to pagan Homeschooling--I have two daughters, aged 8 & 11, and we're looking for teaching plans that work with our religious beliefs. I'm familiar with the info at http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/paganhomeschooling/ and other easily-findable sites; I'm more looking for actual recommendations than just a collection of links or list of books.
What works, what doesn't, what hassles can I expect?
Other info: we're not recent converts to paganism or Homeschooling. The girls have known no other religion, and have been homeschooled erratically for a couple of years; I'm looking for something with a bit of structure.
Answer: Contact me hon, I can help, I teach my kids about paganism. I have worked on several lesson plans and they love it. I hope to hear from you soon. Don't pay any attention to these fools, they want bible based curriculm, so no need for them to talk. Lets talk soon. For anyone who is reading this, dont judge, remember that is one of your christian rules!!! We respect you, do you do the same!!!
