Homeschooling Social Studies Curriculum
![]() |
Question: Can you tell me a little more about American School of Correspondence?
I have been very interested in their college prep. high school diploma, but their website isn't very informative unfortunately.
These are the question's I had:
how much would the college prep curriculum cost? Is it religion affiliated? Are the courses for the college prep curriculum challenging?(I am in a couple honors classes right now in 10th grade and i feel more comfortable in them that the others)?
if you are Homeschooling right now, are you given at least 4 courses to do at a time, like math and science and english and social studies in the same day?
Thank you if you can answer at least one of these questions.
Answer: I think its 1k< tuition per year, but I don't know exactly. It's not affiliated with a religion.
It is very rigid in terms of it's curriculum, not sure how challenging it is. You just can't choose electives, or pick from a bunch of classes.
As I understand it, you can do the classes when you choose, but you have a limited time to finish. So, you could do 4 each day, or 1 per day so long as you complete the assignments within the time frame. Could even do one at a time, spending intense weeks one subject at a time.
It is a correspondence school, so you are actually enrolled... they send you the material, you send it back, they grade it etc.
I have a friend who graduated from the American School of Correspondence and he is now in a 4 year college. No admissions difficulties.
Good luck
