missouri homeschooling programs
Question: is there a free Homeschooling program in missouri?

Answer: Homeschooling costs as much or as little as you want to spend.
If you are asking about the "free" online academies, those are not Homeschooling but a type of public school known as virtual charter schools or cyber charter schools.

If you are interested in a virtual charter school, it appears that the only one available is for those living within the St Louis school district.

homeschool computer classes
Question: I'm homeschooled and I feel like I'm wasting my teenage years?

I started homeschool in ninth grade due to anxiety issues. I got to the point where I flat out refused to go to school because I was scared I would throw up in class. I know, pretty stupid. But yeah.

I'm in online school and literally all I do is sleep, eat, watch tv, and be on the computer. I have no friends. I do hang out with my cousin who is the same age as me, but not very often. I thought about going back to public school but I don't think that would be any good for me. I'm too much of an anxious person. I'm also really shy so it's always hard for me to open up to people.

Clubs/sports aren't really my thing. I know I sound picky, and to be honest, I am. Just being honest. Lol.

How do I get out and meet new people? :l

Answer: You don't sound too picky. You do sound like you're still dealing with the anxiety disorder. The thing is that anxiety is not just about school, though school is a situation that often exacerbates it. It makes it worse because it's one of the situations in life where you need to be around a lot of other people and there are deadlines set for you. College and work will have deadlines and require you to work with people as well. They may also mean you have to be in crowds, something that makes anxiety worse for a lot of people. There may be some people who will try to convince you school is the only cause of anxiety disorders. It isn't and Homeschooling isn't the "cure" for anxiety. Homeschooling can make it better, because you aren't around the triggers, but you still need to seek therapy and help for the underlying issues. First, do that. If you aren't getting any therapy, try it. Once you start that, try one thing that will get you out and around others. If you don't like group sports, how about joining a gym? Not everyone wants to do team sports. Or try taking one class at the community center. I don't always enjoy clubs either. Sometimes I feel like people aren't there for the purpose of the club, they're there to say they belong and add it to their very long list of activities meant to impress others. Our homeowner's association is the worst that way. Our former president had no interest in really guiding the association. He wanted the experience to add to his employment resume and broke many association rules; mainly the ones like parking that affect others.

This isn't something to be ashamed of. Lots and lots of people deal with it. You need to take small steps to function at a point that you like.
