Question: The Split Option Program for the Army?
ok i am a homeschooler who is planning on joining the Army.i plan on doing the split option program for the reserves.the problem is is that my highschool program (Pennfoster--pennfoster.com) is self-paced.there are no grades (for example the 9,10,11,12th grade, its all in one course) you do all your subjects and get 22.5 credits.Thats 17 core subjects and 5 electives.this is the problem me and the recruiter are having. What grade am i in?i am supposed to be in my junior year and i and 17 so if i was in PS i would qualify, but considering i am most likely completeing my high school program by november (thats my goal, maybe earlier but no later than nov.)so does that mean i am in my senior year,or can i say for now i am a junior?because after basic training i would have about 4 months of school left, maybe more then i get my diploma.also does a homeschool HS diploma count as a G.E.D in the army even though the program is accredited in mos of the states?
