Question: How to find a homeschool for special education?

How, or where, do you find a homeschool for a special education student? I have found a lot of websites which tell you how to do the Homeschooling. I have found websites with Homeschool Curriculum. I need to know how to find an actual homeschool for special education. One where a person will pay them and get materials for the child, then send the work in quarterly. Or they do the work on a computer.

This is for a lady with a foster child. The child is not being treated well at school and comes home crying. The teachers are being downright mean. It's very sad.

And I am wrong about him being a "foster child." She has court ordered custody and is receiving no monetary help with the child.

Answer: i can see your problem. I'm sure some Homeschooling curriculum's have a special education program for them so call them to make sure there is one. if not some Homeschooling Programs let your children learn at your own pace. see if there is a program like FLVA(florida virtual academy). they are sponsored by k12 who provide everything. i am currently in this program and i get to learn at my own rate and i did get 1 or 2 subjects a grade back so i could learn them and get better. that provide the computer, internet and books for free. so just look up k12 and ask about it.

Question: A Beka Homeschooling Curriculum??

Last year I was in the 10th grade and we used the A Beka Curriculum with the accredited DVD program. Have any of you all done this? We did this because we live on a farm and my mom doesn't have much time to be able to teach me. Last year was our first year to homeschool and it was sorta crazy trying to get the hang of it. Any tips at all on Homeschooling this way? What is your opinion on this program?? We need an accredited Christian Homeschooling Curriculum that is self-taught (such as this). We are planning on doing it this way again next year but I would like to know everyone elses opinion on all this. Any tips on keeping everything organized and going smoothe would also be helpful. Answer: I'm an educator and we used A Beka Curriculum from k-2 through 12th for years. Then two years ago we switched to Bob Jones. They do a better job for critical thinking skills. They also have a Satellite program called HomeSat. As a Homeschooling parent, we tried it. It was okay. What I liked was that you can record your classes and study when it fits your schedule. Then they also have the DVD program. We will be using it for 11th grade for our neice. $900.00 gets you the entire curriculum for one grade, or you can purchase one course for $399.00. Link below.
