Question: Homeschooling a child with learning disabilites?

is it legal to home school a child with a learning disability? if so what are the requirements for me as as his teacher. i live in tennessee. my son is classified as mildly retarded and i would rather have him at home with all the abuse of special needs students in schools. i only have a high School diploma , which is all that is required to teach kids without special needs. but i dont know the requirements for special education kids.

I think Homeschooling will turn out to be the best thing you can do for you son because it gives him the ability to learn what he needs to know at his own pace without all the stress of institutionalized school. good luck to both of you.
