Question: Pardon me for asking so many questions :) ?

I don't have the foggiest idea where to begin. I'm thinking of Homeschooling my son, starting w/preschool. We live in Northern Michigan. My son, 21 mos, is showing early signs of giftedness, loves to learn, and needs to be "kept busy." (Please take my word for it, rather than try to convince me otherwise.) I'm going to teach him preschool-type material this fall and perhaps kindergarten when he's ready. The problem is that I have no clue where to begin, if we decide to homeschool. Some of my questions involve Michigan laws, socialization, extra-curricular acitivities, etc. Please give me as many websites, and as much advice as you can. I'm willing to do the "footwork" but just need to know how to start. This is my 2nd question today, but probably won't be my last!
Thanks, in advance, for your serious answers.

Answer: You probably do have a intellectually gifted child. :-) That's the reason my son is HS'ed. Here are two sites I recommend you check out. The first is completely overwhelming, but it has everything you'd want to know, including HS information.

Here's a blog I found while searching:

Here's a great online support board:

You might want to use Starfall:

My son "ate up" Magic School Bus stuff starting at that age. We have all the books, DVD's, and the "book of the month" activities from Scholastic.

A trip to your library to pick up books on giftedness and HS'ing will go a long way to help your research!!!
