Question: Where to find more students for Japanese?

Well, I've been teaching Japanese here in Orlando to private students for over a year now and I really enjoy it. When I was in college, I spent a lot of time teaching kids Japanese in afterschool classes and a few Homeschool Kids as well.

But I've really been looking to expand the number of students so I can make this my main job (instead of teaching English). Does anyone have any ideas on how to find more students?

Is there a website for afterschool programs that might be interested in a less traditional language? Or for homeschoolers looking for a foreign language tutor? Or adult enrichment programs looking for night class teachers?

I have tried things like Craig's List, but haven't gotten anything back, so I thought I'd see if any one has any ideas around here.
And of course, I'll keep looking on my own! ^_^

Thanks in advance!

Answer: Have you considered offering a distance class over the internet? My daughter has participated in some for math using a headset with microphone for in class communication. Perhaps using something like this: http://www.e-lecta.com/about_electaeroom.asp
There are also free versions of these virtual classrooms, but I didn't have time to search them out for you. A little digging should turn them up.

I know my daughter would be interested. She is determined to do an exchange year to Japan, preferably in high school, but she'd settle for college. LOL She's almost 9 now.
