Homeschooling Nc Laws

Question: Homeschooling Laws in North Carolina?
Hi everyone! It's me again. I want to thank everyone who actually helped me with my other Homeschooling question. Now I need a more specific help. I've taken a look at the HSDLA and at the laws, but I need some help making sure I'm interpreting it correctly.
1. You can be any age to homeschool (given that I am 16, I'm sure it's okay)
2. You must take a standardized test and let the state see the score to
3. You must give a letter to the division of non-public education to tell them you are Homeschooling
4. Operate a nine month school calendar (which I presume means learning nine months of the year out of twelve.)
Anything else I should know about? Anyone in NC that homeschools that can possibly help me out and give me tips on what is best for me if I actually do homeschool?
Answer: Since you're over the age of 16, none of that applies to you.
But.
If you wish to be a homeschooler, in the eyes of the State of North Carolina, rather than be seen as having dropped out, you should check with local homeschoolers to make sure you have all bases covered.

If you can afford it, an "umbrella school" will serve as your private school, and will allow you to legally homeschool while they handle
your transfer.
