Question: Homeschooling tax write offs?
Do homeschool parents get any sort of credit or write off for Homeschooling supplies or curriculum they purchase for thier children in the state of Indiana?
Answer: In Louisiana we get a 250.00 nonrefundable tax credit for supplies and such. You have to save the receipts for proof of what you spend and you can get it if you are Home Schooling, or sending the kiddos to private or public school. The credit is for supplies we buy for their education, so you can count, curricula, a computer if needed, notebooks, pens whatever.
I looked at your state website and didn't find anything so you may want to call a tax professional and ask.
