Question: I'm having a garage sale...?

How should I market/run a garage sale where my family and I will mostly be selling homeschool text books, toys, videos, games, etc. Will I get enough money for the items? Thanks!

Answer: My Mom is a yard sale freak, one thing to remember is that to make the most money at a yard sale is to have yard sale prices. People hate going to yard sales and looking at store prices. If your looking to get rid of some stuff and make a little bit of money then keep your prices low. If you just want to make the most off of the stuff that you have then you might want to think about EBay. By all means advertise in the paper and let everyone know that you have video games and toys....you'll get collectors and parents. Home school text books should sell pretty well, especially because there are allot of people interested getting their kids out of public schools. Good Luck...remember to go to the bank ahead of time and get yourself allot of change so that you can take larger bills.
