Question: is penn foster high school accredited in the state of Texas?
i'm already enrolled in it. i'm a little skeptical if it's accredited. but i've heard your parents can give you a diploma, and basically every homeschool is acccepted here.
like if i live in texas and i'm doing their homeschool program online, is Texas gonna take their diploma?
Answer: In Texas, home schools are considered private schools, and as such, the state has no authority over them. Any curriculum your parents choose is fine. Here is a link with some helpful information. http://www.hslda.org/hs/state/TX/default.asp

Question: Homeschooling in Australia. Questions!?
Hi,
I'm really considering Homeschooling next year (I'm 15 now, I'd be in yr 10 next year) and I have some questions.
- Does anyone know if it's good? (I know this is a broad question but I still haven't been able to get a straight answer).
- Do I have to have a parent at home? I am better at teaching myself through books and websites compared to being taught in a classroom. So not having someone teaching me would be fine. I would be doing an online course and learning from books. I also live in VIC.
- Does it cost any money? My current school is quite expensive (especially for a single mother will an average job).
If anyone has any answers to my questions it would be great.
Thanks.
Answer: See the department of education website for Victoria http://www.distance.vic.edu.au/enrol/enr712elig.htm#9 this will give you some ideas about the guidelines and money. If you do the education through them there are set requirements to be done at certain times and you will need to follow them. Contact them for further information. Your mother would be responsible as your supervisor for you to complete your work.
