Question: how can i keep my mom from going crazy? (Homeschooling problem)?
she thinks i have to be homeschooled for 176 days in a year. but since i live in illinois, there is no required days. iknow pretty much everything i need to know (shes even said that) i found an illinois law website that i want to show her, but everytime i talk to her about Homeschooling she goes crazy and we fight and i get grounded! how can i show her without any controversy?
Answer: Gosh... I'm "old." I've had 17 years of formal schooling and I still don't know everything I need to know...
So... you have met your learning goals for this year...
I agree with the post above that says "move ahead."
A slight twist on this: What are you really really interested in? Propose spending some / more time on a cool project that still fits within your learning goals. Get creative. Enter a scholastic contest perhaps.
Instead of "Hey, can I be done learning for the year?" How about: "Hey, can I enter this essay contest and possibly win a little scholarship money?"
The projects you might propose are limited only by your own imagination.

If you were to declare "school is done" for the year, what would you spend your time doing?
