Homeschooling

Question: Does anyone know what the requirements are for Homeschooling in California?

I'm thinking about Homeschooling my son he is just not getting what he needs at public school and my ex won't let me send him to a Catholic or Lutheran school. I'm highly educated and a psychologist but I'm not sure what the new laws are regarding Homeschooling in Ca. anyone know?
