Question: High School Help.... Ok more than that!!!! I'm Desperately Begging you to answer!?

Ok I don't really need high school help, that is not a broad enough description, I need a crash course on how to be a teenage girl!

I am going into my first year of high school after a life of homeschool and I know no one and I need to know anything that you can tell me

If you could post what you do that would be very helpful!
My main Qs are about: music, conversations, movies, friends, clothes, cliques, hair (mines short), and anything else you have to add. I could really used any dos/don'ts or ins/outs that you have to give me. I really don't want to be labeled the "wannabe" because I have never had to fit in and have a REALLY quirky style.

thanx
P.S. no offence but I must have forgotten to add in:

Please no "Be yourself" comments!

Answer: you know hwat, good for you and your quirky style! don't panic, just be yourself, do you listen to music? if you answer no, then that's alrgight, a lot of people aren't in to music. or you could just flip on the radio and see whats hot. just wear whatever clothes you think look good on you and what you're comfortable in. haha, don't worry about convos, every convo with someone new is going to be awkward. that's how it's always been for me. just give relationships with new friends time, and sooner or later you'll have plenty of friends. don't worry about fitting in. i'm just going to tell you. highschool will suck, in some way shape or form. just be optimistic, and enjoy yourself. you're a teen, who should enjoy their highschool experience to the fullest! yes, there will be cliques, and whether you area jock, nerd, theatre geek [that's me :) ] , brainiac, or super popular cheerleader (haha okay, not all school have the same stereotypical cliques) you needn't be worried. yo uwill be able to find people who like you for you; don't try to be anyone else. personally, i'm really hoping my school gets a lot of new kids, they have so much potential to be friends! a lot of people are jsut interested in the new kid for a little bit, then you find your friends and you're one of them :) but you don't have to stick to just one clique!! oh no, i'm a geek, theatre nerd, brainiac, and cheerleader, haha. just be nice and wear a smile. you''ll do fine.

the only don't i can think of is, try not to insult people at first. just like, don't say "Hi I'm soandso, and you're really ugly." haha, same rules for when you meet any person ever. just relax, and remember that highschool will be great!

and if you're worried about not knowing anyone, i suggest getting a ffacebook, and searching for people who will be attending your school/class. friends them, and get to know them. this way, you won't have to be alone on your first day! my friend did this for her new school, and her fears have vanished!

***ugh. alright chica is right, the way it is at my school, hla fof the girls are money-spending little dolls who are popular and everyone wants to be them. the other half are girls who hate the first group (tho with no good reason). i try to balance in between, because i don't believe in hating, but i'm not into trends. the usual popular girl oufit is: hollister jeans with abercrombie shirt and flipflops, or juicy sweatsuit. usually wear a tad bit too much juicy perfume. flat ironed, long hair parted to the side, with makeup (foundation, mascara, concealer, lipgloss). but not everyone cool dresses like this. there are some really bold people who wear whatever they want, and are well liked for it. ah well don't worry too much, wear what you like, and really, no one wants to be friends with a fake, so really just be yourself.

Question: Whats first when trying to put my kids in Homeschool Programs?

I have a 3 year old and I really want to start her in preschool, but I have no idea where to start
I really want them in homeschool, I do not feel that they will lack the social skills because i will be putting them in other activitys and they will learn that way. why put them in public school where they will learn bad people skills from other childern and can only learn what the schools and government want the kids to learn, School doesnt teach them real life skills such as how to handle money and family problems, and all the other things that one will learn. Yes I do want them to learn the basics and more....History, science, and Math....but why limit them to just that

Answer: dont limit it to "just that!" ok, the world is their class room, right? first, get with the HSLDA. Home school legal defense association. do it now!!!!! otherwise social services could make your life hell. I know, they did mine. I support Homeschooling 110%. i did so with mine, and they are ahead of their peers intellectually. ahead in some areas, behind on some, but I hear nothing but good about them from ppl who come in contact with them. get with the basics, get with a good umbrella school, and get to the library, and check out some books on Homeschooling. there is one I loved, called " unschooling your kid" or something like that. It had "unschooling" in the title. Go to school supply stores, and get some workbooks, and go from there. Good luck, and really, go to the HSLDA,and you can type it in like that , or hslda.com, and go from there. for about 10$ a mo. you will cover your butt and social services can't touch you. Teachers don't like homeschoolers, cuz it takes from their pocket,as they get paid per kid in their class. well, anyways good luck!
