The same goes with home school attorneys. If you are doing everything correctly to your best ability, you should not have to worry about someone taking you to court over Home Schooling your child.

Standardized testing for home school

Some states require standardized testing or evaluation. Your state will tell you what you need to do. The exact rules can be obtained from the state but these standardized tests can usually be done by any of the following:

  • state or local education agency
  • state board
  • state school chief
  • certified teachers

Question: Rosetta Stone Mandarin- Info?

Well, i recently purchased mandarin chinese rosetta stone homeschool kit to learn chinese outside of school (The software follows my schools first year curriculum, so i plan to test into chinese 2 next year). But i also want to learn the language fluently, not just on a test-to-test basis. I have read that rosetta stone doesn't allow you to learn the language to the point where you can speak it fluently. I was wondering if anyone had some tips for filling the gaps that rosetta stone has- it would be great for someone who has the program to help. Thanks!

Answer: The only way I know to attain true fluency is to interact with native speakers. No program or book will get you there.
