Question: What is the basic information on Homeschooling in Connecticut?

My family and I are seriously considering Homeschooling, but I can't seem to find the basics on it. Do my parents need to teach me, or is there some other possibility? The thing is that I'm not happy in my high school and I think I would be able to learn better if I'm in a more comfortable environment. I'm not sure about what's expected of me if I'm home-schooled and I don't know what to expect in my new schedule or curriculum. Is it possible that the state of Connecticut (that's where I live), will be able to provide a group of students with a parent teaching them, instead of my parent's having to teach me? What are all the requirements? I really need this information, for my sanity's sake. Please provide detailed answers and 10 points are guaranteed. Thank you so much!

should be able to provide you with some good starting information, including CT laws and local support groups. Local groups know the local situation and can stear you around the pitfalls and explain the law to you, in addition to helping you locate curriculum and extra curricular activites.

good luck.
