Homeschooling Kids With Adhd

Question: Need help with Homeschooling.?
I want to start Homeschooling my son immediately. He is in 1st grade and has ADHD. He refuses to do classwork, misbehaves and bothers other kids during class. I know he can do the work but the problem is he needs one on one instruction. When you work with him he does great. Obviously he can not get this in school because the teacher has to tend to all the students in the class.
My question is what do I do to start Homeschooling him? I have read the laws for my state but I am at a stand still. what do I have to do to actually start? Who do I contact and how long does the process take before I can begin? I know there are different programs available but which one is the best? I am just so confused about the whole thing. Someone please help!!

If you are going to build your own program, take a look at Sonlight and request their free catalog. They have excellent resources and amazing online forums. http://www.sonlight.com
